We are currently looking for a dedicated and hard-working food service worker to fill a position at Peace Villa.
In keeping with the vision and values set forth by the organization and working within the scope of Northern Health (NH) Regional Policies and Processes, NH Regional Food Safety Plan and NH Regional Food Sanitation Plan, this position assists cooks by mixing, grinding, slicing, preparing salads, vegetables, sandwiches and portioning desserts, measuring and combining food and beverage ingredients.
Accurately prepares and distributes patient trays and/or resident meals, including therapeutic diet items, in accordance with nutritional care plans.
Check patient trays for accuracy. Prepare items such as tea, coffee and toast. Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and perform general cleaning.
Serves meals to employees and supervises the collection and receipt of money for purchased items, which may include punching meal vouchers.
Shift Rotation / Working Hours: 07:00 to 13:30, 15:00 to 19:00, Rotation
The Peace Villa is attached to the new Fort St. John Hospital via a corridor. The Peace Villa is a 115-bed facility, including a respite bed.
Peace Villa offers Recreational Therapy Services 5 days a week. Pastoral and Spiritual Services are provided by Peace Villa Worship Services and community volunteers.
There is a Volunteer Program in place to support recreational activities. Hairdressing and barbering services are available on site for a fee determined by the service provider.
Peace Villa also offers an integrated community program for adults, which operates 5 days a week.
Fort St. John is known as “The Energy City,” reflecting its large resource base of oil, natural gas, forestry and agriculture.
Overlooking the Peace River, the town of Fort St John is located above the Peace River Valley and serves as the capital of the Peace River District.
Fort St. John’s population is over 21,400, but it serves an area of approximately 70,000. The community is the hub of the Northeast with a cultural center and library, theater, and art space.
There are seven elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. There is also a campus of Northern Lights College.

Qualifications
10th grade with one (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
