McCain Foods (Canada) has a vacancy for a Packaging Operator.

Qualifications:

the 12th grade or GED
o Must be able to work rotating shifts
Knowledge of computer operations is an asset
o Experience with packaging machines desirable
o Must be mechanically inclined and able to handle heavy lifting (up to 30 pounds unassisted)
o Ability to work with minimal supervision
o Ability to respond to unexpected circumstances calmly and responsibly
o Ability to accept and embrace changes in day-to-day operations
o Successful completion of the training period
o Must be willing to cross-train on other packaging equipment

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

o Machine configuration (includes computerized equipment)
o Change of machines
o Machine operation
o Maintenance of tool shade panels and changing carts
o Quality checks of machine operations and materials
o Cleaning the desktop
o Participate in team meetings when necessary
o Must follow “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMP)
o Ensure that SQCDPE goals are met through understanding and setting KPI targets
o Fill out paperwork accurately
o Ensure product codes are correct
o Other duties as assigned
